There are several things to consider making sure your website is presented in the best way. Below are some guidelines to follow:

1.  Using of splash pages should be avoided. In fact, such pages are futile and pursue no important purpose. It is better to let your visitor see your web pages at once avoiding surplus clicks on splash pages.

2.  Don’t exaggerate with banners. It is better if you’ll just provide your visitors with more useful and interesting content than banner advertisements inserting some substantial affiliate links in your site content.

3.  Pay attention to navigation. A visitor will surely get irritated and simply leave your website without any intention of going back if he can’t cope with your website navigation.

4.  Consider the users’ indication. Try to provide an easy browsing from section to section to avoid viewers from getting confuse.

5. Less audio – the better. Constant sound on the site may annoy the visitor. So it is better to limit the sound or provide the visitor the control of the sound to be able to change the volume or mute the sound.

These are the things you should take into consideration if you want your site to be on top and have a good impression to visitors and probably capture their attention.

Marketing Strategy: Basic Steps to Succeed

by VSSolutions101 on August 18, 2010

Marketing strategy is a process that can allow an organization to concentrate its limited resources on the greatest opportunities to increase sales and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. A marketing strategy should be centered on the key concept that customer satisfaction is the main goal.

With the many opportunities being laid down for an individual to engage in, of course that given fact will lead to confusion to where company he will engage in. And due to this, the only weapon a marketer could have is to have a great marketing strategy. A strategy that could give an edge for his company to raise above the rest, so the question is How to have that good marketing strategy.

  1. Know exactly what you want to help you set short term goals and work towards those goals accordingly. Planning the steps should be easier if you set specific goals.
  2. Study your options and choose at least two or three online marketing tactics. Focus on these and make sure that you’re executing them correctly.
  3. Monitor the outcome of your plans. If you receive positive feedback, find a way on how to improve it. If not, look back and track if there’s any step you missed and needs improvement.
  4. Focus on your target market. Make sure that you’ll be prompting your products/services to the right people.
  5. Take advantage of today’s technology. Consider the ways on how you can improve your business.  Bear in mind that your goal is to provide customers/clients a good quality of service.
  6. Gain Customer Confidence. It’s up to you to project an image of experience, quality, dependability, excellent customer service, and/or added value to your prospective customers in order to win their confidence and overcome sales objections.
  7. Sincere enthusiasm, in both print and in person, is contagious. If you deeply believe in your products, services, your company, and yourself, then your prospects will pick up on that passionate attitude and feel confident and optimistic about doing business with you. Your words are important, but your nonverbal communication — your tone of voice, inflection, rate of speech, volume, facial expressions, your listening skills, eye contact, and overall responsiveness — can have an even greater impact on how you influence and persuade your prospective customers, clients, or members.
  8. Penetrate awareness of your target audience by using integrated marketing strategy, which in many cases would include a well-planned website marketing strategy.
